Windows 10 Auto Shutdown Issue
My Dell Notebook should be stayed online for me to access it remotely. But, yesterday, I realized my notebook was shut down by itself. I reviewed the event log of my Windows 10, there was an event of Dell Update process. After that, no other event found was found. I suspect that the Dell update trigger the notebook to shutdown. This pattern seems to be happened before as well. Can anyone know why or anyway to disable the shutdown or disable Dell update? Thanks in advance!

Diagnostics can't get past "gathering tests" step
When I try to run diagnostics on Vostro 3360 from online portal, it keeps getting stuck at "gathering your tests" step. I've tried multiple browsers, tried clearing temp files and re-trying... every time it just gets stuck.
Shows a orangey bar with a red exclamation. Sometimes it's possible to see the text "There was an issue running diagnostics." in that bar.
Any help?

Help My program list has disappeared
I purchased a Dell Inspiron 14 500 December of 2014. Windows 8.1
In the lower right corner was a symbol looked like this (>>) that when I clicked I got a list of all programs installed.
That symbol has disappeared the MS "experts" say it must have been placed there by Dell.
Any idea how I might bring this back?

About Deleting Dell Backup and Recovery
Hi everyone.
I have a Dell Inspiron 3543 laptop. This laptop came with both the pre-installed Dell Backup&Recovery software and with a DVD disk that includes the data to format my laptop. I think both of them make the same operation: they install the factory settings and format my laptop. (Sorry for my illiteracy about these terms and issues). Until now, I have only used the pre-installed Dell Backup&Recovery to format my laptop.
Now, since the Dell Backup&Recovery software slows down my computer, I want to delete it. And if I need to format my laptop, I am planning to use my DVD disk. However, I am not sure whether I will be able to use the DVD disk if I uninstall the Dell Backup&Recovery software. And this is what I want to ask you. (My concern is that if I delete this software, I don't know whether my laptop will be able to read this DVD disk and format my laptop. I don't know whether this DVD disk can operate without the Dell Backup&Recovery software.) Does anyone know about this? Thank you very much in advance for help.

Persistent iaStorA.sys error
I have a problem with a iaStorA.sys error. My DELL Inspiron 15z has been caught in a BSOD loop. I have removed all critical data from the drive and tried to do a reinstall of Win 8. However, when trying to boot from a bootable install USB I get the same error as trying to boot from the HDD i.e. (iaStorA.sys) Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I am at a loss as to how to remedy this as most solutions seem to rely on this being an intermittent issue and still being able to boot. For some reason I can't boot into the recovery partition either.
Can you please provide some solution tips?

I keep getting this error message which ends in crash to desktop. Does anyone know what is causing this to happen. It occurs in steam games, flight simulator, and many other programs including my anti-malware program, etc.

win8 product key and dell recovery disk
i have a dell xps8500 and the HD died-- so there is no recovery partition-i bought a new HD - i bought a dell win8 recovery media disk that was supposed to install without a product key - i was told by the dell rep that it would just read the product key off my bios -that was untrue - it will not install--- keeps asking for a product key that was not supplied-- how do i get around this-- ive been on the phone with the dell reps and they dont seem to understand the situation--

Dell recovery
I have a Dell 15 that came with Win 8 installed. The HD crashed and they sent a new one & dvd and I installed it. Since I have forgotten my password to get into it now and I want to set back to factory. I have tried to do the F8 which wont work. I put the DVD that came with the replacement HD and it ask for a product key. I didn't get one since embedded in the bios. how can I recovery back to factory to start over.

Help with Dell Windows 8
So, I bought a Dell Inspiron with touchscreen and preinstalled Windows 8 for my kid. I then upgraded to Windows 8.1. So far all good.
Then I made the mistake of upgrading to Windows 10, and the family safety settings started to fail. The times weren't honored, the curfews weren't being enforced. All in all a very bad experience.
I tried downgrading, but the PC didn't come with installation discs, so I found some old Windows 7 discs and installed it.
Now I realized that the family protection features of Win 7 aren't as good as those of Win 8, so I'd like to upgrade again to Windows 8.
But I DON'T HAVE THE DISCS. Any suggestions of where to get it? is it possible to download my PC specific configuration from Dell?

Intel HD Graphics Driver Issue
Running Windows 8.1 on a Dell X51 R2. I downloaded the HD Graphics driver package specific to this system "R2_Video_Driver_6RR05_WN32_10.18.14.4280_A01.EXE" and double-clicked the EXE to install. I am presented with two options- (a) Install or update the system, (b) Extract the contents.
The result when I attempt to do (a): Get message box that "The update installer operation is unsuccessful".
The result when I attempt to do (b): Get message box that the the files were extracted successfully but the target directory. is empty.
Thinking that the download failed the first time, I re:downloaded the driver, same results. How do I address this conundrum ?
